New York: Duffield and Company, 1910/1910, 1st sd; ribbed navy silk boards, gold titles, paste on plate with little girl and her book on golden background, gilt top edge; endpapers with little girl with her hoop in navy on creme; frontis + 10 familiar plates, each with tissue printed with quotationpresented, as issued, one of two drawings of little girls reading heading every page, 7.25x9.5; 124 pp.
Juvenile
CONDITION: Good only; small 1910 Christmas gift inscription on ffep, and T. Cromwell Lawrence II's bookplate facing, paste-on plate very rubbed on gold background, not on child, back scuffed, extremities worn and frayed; pages are flat and very clean but have moisture marks on outer bottom corner, from half inch to one inch, running all through the book. For some reason, this has not affected the plates or tissue, which are in near fine condition (tissue darkening) except for one tissue corner 1/4".
