New York: Harper & Brothers, (1941 was Scott first edition) this book an early to mid 40's Harper printing; black cloth spine and aqua paper boards with Muffin in a little white boat, two gulls and an orange lighthouse, aqua endpapers with sea creatures, in jacket with identical design front flap mentioning Country Noisy 40, but not Indoor Noisy 42, although there is an odd 1.5" blank space; the rear flap is blank and narrow; 7.2x8.2"; np

CONDITION: Very Good Plus in Good Plus jacket; small collector's stamp on each endpaper which cannot be removed, otherwise tight and extremely clean as to boards and pages, nice spine and corners, tiny bumps to top edge, light rubs to while bottom edge; in very lightly edgeworn jacket with essentially no loss of paper: crease along spine showing white, light rubbed chips to extrems (about 1/16"), two 1" closed tears, one affecting title, 2 smaller tears; clipped with the original bookstore's stamp raising the price to 2.25.
