Scroll down to view! About 40 years ago we found a box of jackets stored in the upstairs of the old Fire Hall by a children's librarian at our former college Lab School. The box surfaced earlier this month and to our surprise there were over a hundred mid-century jackets.. About half are from the late 1930s; most are in very nice condition, unclipped, in the $1.00 to $2.50 range.
1. Jackets were folded for storage, so I noted when the crease was in the center spine. Not too bad, but visible, see Coatsworth's Five Bushel Farm.
2. Dates within brackets indicate copywrite date or first ed. date NOT printing. These jackets are clearly early, and we can make a good guess using other titles mentioned/omitted and price, but it is not possible to ascertain a first edition on most jackets.
