Beautiful Joe, an autobiography.

Beautiful Joe, an autobiography.

"My name is Beautiful Joe, and I am a brown dog of medium size. I am called Beautiful Joe, but not because I am a beauty..." One of the great dog stories, inspired by Black Beauty. An attractive copy of this plea for kindness to animals. This is the original, unabridged, and pretty gruesome, text. Contains a frontis photo of Marshall Saunders with a dog in her lap (not Joe). A nice copy with interesting plates, not the Phoenix edition. Please note: THIS BOOK HAS BEEN SOLD
