The Giraffe of King Charles X.

About the giraffe who, in 1826, was given to Charles X by the Ruler of Egypt. She spent her first winter in Marseilles, then walked to Paris where she inspired many fashion statements and lived peacefully in the Jardin des Plantes for 18 years.
