Ant and all the contents of the shopping basket fall out of the sky and Ant hurts his head. A long boring time in bed follows and Ant's friends, Kind Dog and the ladybugs, bring him things to play with. Then the king heard that ant was sad in bed, so he sent lots of stuff to count.



Outside My Window.

The little boy opens the window and lets the lost baby bear inside. He tries to disguise his new friend so his mother won't notice, but in the end he has to open the window and let the little bear go back to the forest. A sweet little story. Note: This book has been sold.

Labels on rear endpaper from Strawbridge & Clothier Department Store( in the family from 1868 - 1996). This is probably a first printing, but it is impossible to tell.
