Light colours and white space fill outlined pictures, a bright and graceful book. Set in a tournament of a medieval floral fantasy court. The contest of the champions of the Rose and the Lily nears its end, when Queen Summer calls a halt "and to each warrior thus did say: Read in the fortune of your fray, The emblem of sweet unity."  A romantic ending.  Includes an interesting 8 page Cassell catalogue with about 400 listings in double columns and small print.

CONDITION: Good Plus; no names, tight and straight, corners bumped but rubbed through, bottom board with corner paper chipped and bumped edge, light soil to boards, small black dot on bottom spine cloth; pages very flat and clean. In clear mylar. Item #14346
