New York and Boston: H. M. Caldwell Company, (1908), probably an early reprint of the tan cloth first; green cloth with gold, red and some blue titles and pictures, pendulum and title only stamped, with King Time watching over boy swinging on a pendu. Juvenile hardback.
A little boy swings on a pendulum with 3 O'Clock The Time Imp to the land where all the past hours live together. The book flows from poetry to prose, and the illustrations carry the story well. Good writing, very funny, with a curious "Alice" child. Percy Keese Fitzhugh also wrote boy's series, Roy Blakely, Tom Slade, Pee-Wee Harris.
CONDITION: Good Minus; Christmas 1912 gift inscription and crossed out address, otherwise no marks, spine ends and corners very worn through to card, cloth soiled with circular white mark and gilt and colours dull on front and almost illegible on spine, front hinge paper neatly repaired but with web holding, 2" crack to spine cloth; endpapers and pages are quite flat, clean, and nice as are plates.
