Seven fables illustrated with coloured woodcuts: The King and the Parrot; The Mortal and the Satyr; The Fearful Frogs and the Battling Bulls; The Peacocks and the Raven; The Thieves and the Cockerel; The Fox and the Stork; and The Sow under the Oak, Translation of Fabeln aus aller Welt. The abstract woodcut spreads following each fable make a pleasant rhythm, but these are not really children's stories.

CONDITION: Very Good Plus in Good Plus jacket; no names, straight, tight, and clean with sticker stain on endpaper, in darkening jacket with stray pen marks on back margin, 2" and two 1" closed tears, soiled rough edges across top and at spine bottom, however no loss of paper; unclipped 3.95.
