Small hardback.
A collection of little stories of one page, each with a half page illustration. Most are on religious themes but the Sea-Side stories have a hint of adventure. The little plate is a jewel. There were 12 booklets in this series, of which these are the middle third. Each of these booklets was available separately for 8d assorted, or in a "neat ornamented case" for 1 shilling.
CONDITION: Very Good Plus; 1884 gift inscription from a grandmother to Ada J. Hampshire in lovely handwriting, endpapers darkened, tips of extremities rubbed, gilt and plate bright. Item #21498
