A beautiful collection of puppet shows, showing the importance of puppet theater in Czechoslovakia. Folkloric designs in golden yellow, red, green and dark and light blue continue throughout the book on almost every page. The first section has photos of puppet scenes from fairy tales, the second with introductions by Trnka and Kolar has coloured photos of various puppet plays.

CONDITION: Very Good Plus without jacket; no names or other marks but previous owners have tipped in a small paper slip with their names (can be removed). cloth margins a bit faded and one opening has pulled at gutter. Very clean, pages are flat and bright. Item #21798
