Detailed watercolours of elegantly dressed French children playing and being well cared for by their mothers, aunts, and maids during the four seasons of the year, most of them school age children, with very active little girls. Short text in fine print beneath each picture, but this is an album rather than a story, the third of Mars' children's albums.
CONDITION: Good; "1/4/1900 W. B. Gobin, Haag" inked in straight pen on endpaper, repeated in small script on half title; opens freely with first gathering 2/3 loose; clean cloth with tiny spots but also a 1.5cm large faded spot on top board; clean endpapers and pages bright and flat with intermittent page margin soil, ink on one page.
