Doorn, privately printed, 1929, SOFTCOVER, wraps tied with red silk cord, in light card cover, not flat cut, with red borders, a yellow flower and red and black titles, photo portrait of the 14 year old author, several of her coloured drawings and photos of her with her brother and sisters throughout. Dutch language softcover.
Nellie had been writing stories and poems from an early age, though most of these were written when she was fourteen. Sweet poems published with care by her father.
CONDITION: Good Plus; no names or other marks, straight and tight, cover lightly soiled and darkened, about half the pages are wrinkled at the bottom from reading with occasional light soil, except for the portrait, which is foxed, the coated paper photos and drawings are in nice condition, cord a bit stretch and faded on the outside.
