Alda's verse adaptation of a tale retold by the Czech writer Božena Němocha (1820 - 1862) Each spread liberally illustrated in colour. A lovely book for your fairy tale collection even if you can't read Czech. The English translation appears in Salt Above Gold and other Bohemian folk stories (1968) which we have in stock.
