The mischievous 3 little men and their sidekick Nummer are expelled to the sun and have a linked series of misadventures. Petersen uses their simple shapes and round faces to form a huge range of expressions. The three little men and quite soon after the Number man, got their start as four panel cartoons in Storm's magazine, then, in 1920, in the first Danish cartoon, followed by cartoon books in the 20's.
