Lovely poems addressed to and about children by a French actress and writer (1786 - 1859) admired by Balsac, but also by Rimbaud and above all Verlaine. Hellé's illustrations for this book carry out the sweetness and simplicity of the poems.
CONDITION: Good; book is straight and tight with clean boards, but corners and edges very rubbed; all lower areas of pages lightly foxed., pencil checks (erased, but visible) on one poem, light page soil on most corners. Item #22080
