A collection of tales, beginning with The Snow Maiden, beautifully illustrated with borders on every text page and lush, intricate paintings facing. Soviet graphic artist Igor Ivanovich Yershov (7 November, 1916 – 6 February, 1985) – studied under Bilibin and was a member of the USSR Union of artists. The colours on the cover show what the original paintings must have looked like. Printing process a bit dull inside.
