A collection of sheets from the humorous magazine. The top board of this rebound book lists [Book] 26 which would include 601 to 624 but only #601 is present. This book is actually a complete run for [LC Book] 27, #625 to #648. "Black and white picture sheets cover various subjects. Includes historical views of Egyptian, Turkish, Moorish, Assyrian, Persian and Meder costumes, landscapes and hunting scenes in Africa. Includes views of animals, silhouettes and children in Mardi Gras costumes. Includes caricatures, a cautionary tale and humorous stories, many in verse." LC. Most sheets are unsigned, some artists: Wilhelm Busch, Ernst Frölich, and Adolph Oberlander.

CONDITION: Very Good, no names, was professionally restored some time ago, rebound with spine and all edges neatly taped and running under new endpapers, tight, straight, light soil to boards, pages white and clean with no foxing, wrinkles or tears. Item #22282
