Seven stories of the children's pets and their care: a mother hen, a big dog, rescued baby birds, a little black dachshund, a tamed wild bird, a pet lamb, a monkey. Carl Christian Votteler (1840-1916), was a lithographer, illustrator and animal painter and these drawings of animals are carefully observed.

CONDITION: Good Plus; no names or other marks, edges chipped to white, extrems bumped and rubbed, one cm chip in plate margin; paper lifting a bit near edges, tight and straight, endpapers and interior very clean and unwrinkled. Item #22285
