Schilling Co, 1944; large card folder with four flaps intended to be cut and formed into an illustrated carousel as well as a ticket office and a balloon lady; laid inside the folder envelope are four freestanding card "indestructible" panoramas, 6 panels illustrated on two sides. Folder dimensions: oblong 15.5" x 9" Toploader large.
The Merry-go-round can be set up without glue. The four freestanding panoramas are Let's Eat illus by Robin King, Let's Play illus by Leonard Wisegard, and another more colourful and detailed Merry-go-round, untitled, illus by Doris Stolberg. The fourth untitled panorama repeats four panels from each of the three others. An elaborate paper toy from WW II years when metal was needed for the war effort.
CONDITION: Panoramas - all in Fine condition; Folder - all the cutout/punch out parts in Near Fine to Fine condition (two outside folder illustrations a little faded, one tab wrinkled, three bright inner flaps) As an uncut folder, it is in Very Good or better condition, darkening, a 1/4" split in the unused card.
