Caspari's round blond children go about their daily lives, often filling the frame and accompanied by their animals and toys. Aside from reminders to be careful with tools and to stay clean, this is a calm and secure world, The few adults are incidental except for Santa and a grandmother. (a military parade, various drivers , one excessively stereotypical elephant handler). The spreads of two "pages" often compliment each other. Lustiges kleinkinderbuch was reprinted numerous times in its day and in a modern version with a slightly different cover design. However, these accordion shaped versions are hard to find. They must have been fun to play in.
CONDITION: Good, no names, tiny label of original German bookseller, grade because of top board which has whiteout on pull tear, rubbed corners, crease, and red streak to hat, "bottom board" soiled; interior quite nice, clean and flat, original cloth hinges strong, no repairs and very bright.
