Quite a long tale about two children whose house abuts on a mews where a poor family with a drunken father lives in sickness and squalor. The neighbors gradually develop respect and compassion for the mother and her family.
CONDITION: Good; 1921 name, stamped with Bostonian Society, Old State House, foxed throughout, 1" paper missing from spine but tight, green wraps darkening with some soil, diagonal corner cuts as issued have kept this flat. Item #16130
