Twinkie Town Tales.

Racine, Wisconsin: Whitman, 1932/1926, 1927 (Hamilton-Brown), paper boards with wrap-around illustration of Twinkies running across diagonally from their home as stars to the earth, (the same as the H-B book No 1, but with lavender stripes in the upper corner), blue endpapers, in jacket identical to boards, coloured illustrations on every page, 10.5x12.5", np. Picture Book hardback.

The first two of the Hamilton-Brown Shoe Company softcover series, itself compiled from their ads, compiled in one large book. The constantly grinning Twinkies found their town and work away in a bright colourful world, fully realized with much detail. The rhymes flow smoothly, fun to read aloud.
