A nice, inexpensive reproduction of the original Macmillan Alice printed by Richard Clay after Tenniel disapproved of the quality of the illustrations of the first undistributed printing, but there is no statement to that effect. About identical to the 1941 Book League of America facsimile, having narrower margins and no statement.
CONDITION: Very Good; no names or other marks, appears unread, tight with sharp corners, cover gilt very bright, spine gilt a bit duller but clear; minor bump to top side edge and spine endsmm see unages, slightly splayed. Item #19582
