A young boy tries to retain his American simplicity when he becomes the heir of an English earl, a good story whose title and image have worked against it. A lovely binding with plates that were reprinted many times and lost some sharpness.
CONDITION: Very Good Plus; no names or other marks, clean and tight inside and out, decorative binding very bright, with light fraying to spine ends (about 1/16"), darkened top-edge. Item #19584
