Note the cricket in this British book!"Sunbonnet Babies is one of the latest and cleverest of Dean's well-known rag books" The Stationer, Oct. 1908. The early 20th c Sunbonnet Baby craze resulted in about ten books and readers, as well china, Valentines and Christmas cards, postcards and porcelain figures, and this cloth book, which is scarce today. CONDITION: Very Good Plus; pencil gift inscription on front, no other marks, light soil to covers and stain across right hand baby's bonnet carrying to next page, some fraying to spine ends, otherwise very clean, unwashed, completely flat, with pinking crisp and stitching perfect. Item #19598
