Kansas City, Missouri: Tell-Well press (1953); rich brown paper boards with a little trailer house with a pink roof being towed along by Jim and his family through a mountain valley full of apples and flowers; yellow endpapers with a map of the United States with the little house's route and the crops they picked; in jacket identical to boards; 7.3x11.2. "Life in a trailer-house has its ups and downs for Little Jim Dandy whose father is a traveling fruit picker. Whenever the seasons change, the little house on wheels rolls along to a new part of the United States where another crop is ready to harvest.... and wherever they stop, Little Jim finds a new pet until the trailer-house begins to resemble a traveling zoo... Steve Benedict was once a traveling fruit picker himself." Another of the quirky and interesting stories with illustrations to match published by Tell-Well press in the 50's.
