Little Martha was a bottle fed lamb and loved by everyone on the farm, so when she and Joy went missing the animals and parents were worried. Very bright clear colours, almost like pochoir. The UK Brockhampton series began in 1949 with Emily the Goat. The McKay US reprints are not in the same order. Following the first six Blackberry Farm books with green boards published in 1954 were two sets of three titles each with red boards published in 1955, (dates, from library records in Worldcat , may have appeared on later printings) Little Martha is one of the second set of three. As of this writing, we have eleven in jacket, ask.
