Quite a modern story, in which Billy longs for a dog, finds seven abandoned new born puppies, and attempts to raise them without his father's knowledge at his friend Bob's house. A humorous and happy ending.
CONDITION: Good; Henry Arnhold, who does have lovely handwriting, has practiced his name in light pencil several times on the endpapers in April 1886; small bumps to extrems, paper darkening with some page soil, (paper stock not up to Lothrop's usual quality of this period), 1.5" chip on ads.
