Muschelhorn und Kiefernwurzel

Munich: Münchener Bilderbuch Verlag, 1962, printed by Heinz Wartelsteiner, leporello or panorama, accordion fold, 8 panels 21 x 27 cm, coloured illustration on both sides. German language softcover panorama. medium.

One continuous scene, over five feet, on each side, with interesting details and beautiful deep colours, with 5 - 10 rhyming lines on each "page". On one side the child who does not trip but walks straight into the forest, past the woodcutters, and then deeper and deeper, will find Old Theobald, the Forester, who rarely speaks to humans. On the other side the Sandman wanders through an old town at night and out to a fisherman's cottage on a wide beach. Magic, apparently was not reissued or translated, perhaps too expensive to produce as a child's book.

CONDITION: Very Good Plus; no names, some folds are slightly rubbed, and one bottom corner has a mild bend on a few pages. Clean with fine colour. Item #22296

Price: $60.00
