Using about 95 commonest nouns and 110 of the beginning Dolch sight words, and adding about one word per page, these books enable beginners to read real text in paragraphs, without relying on the illustrations. Teachers usually see Dolch books as worn ex-libraries, but these fresh copies are quite attractive. Stories about the biggest animals of their kind: Old Timer, a moose; Queen, the biggest elephant in the circus; the grizzlies in Yellowstone; giraffes; Bobo, the gorilla; How to Catch a Wild Animal. We currently have six in this condition.
