Donohue, [ca 1920], #362, heavy card boards with grey cloth spine, on top board, bright pictures of kitten in a garden with black border suggesting bamboo, on the bottom board, a lovely blue sky with clouds; large oblong, 14 full colour pages facing b/w copy of image, and many line drawings to colour or copy throughout the book.11 x 8.5", np, 3/4" thick. Picture book hardback.
A very elegant colouring book which must have seemed too special to use! Animals, flowers, country scenes, a Landseer Newf standing near some rapids. Florence Notter created a variety of highly original shape books for Donohue in the early 1900's.
CONDITION: Very Good Plus; no names, unused, straight, tight, nice spine, both boards and pages bright, flat, and clean; on black top board some tiny edge rubs to white and corners rubbed/bumped. . Item #22627
