Picture Book Hardback.

Four simple poems of child life in the late 1900's. Church Bells, Two Little Birds, Grandma's Present, My Doggie, and Down the Hill. Though quieter than her pictures for "The Little Traveller", Jacobs' illustrations of late 19th c child life still show the same fine eye for creative details. A beautiful little series, quite scarce, this title not in Worldcat.

CONDITION: Good; no names or other marks, tight and square, boards, pages and free endpapers all very clean, bright, and unwrinkled, but extremities worn through and spine very flecked through to white under paper and top half inch worn to mull, small nick. 19th c bookstore sticker from Chase Bros Stationery, Haverhill, Mass.
